Phyllis Kay Wilkerson, age 75, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully early Wednesday September 3, 2025. She was born on April 24, 1950, in Greenville, Texas to Robert M. and Amogene Wilkerson.
She graduated from Denison Senior High and Grayson County Junior College in Texas. After moving to Midwest City, Oklahoma, she began working for JC Penny in Midwest City and retired at the JC Penny Shawnee store as an office manager/bookkeeper. She loved to bring happiness to her family and friends. In her retirement she loved to draw greeting cards personalized to the one receiving it. She enjoyed attending military reunions with her Dad and holiday parties with the family. She was always finding ways to make people's lives brighter and happier.
Preceding her in death are her parents Robert M. Wilkerson and Nova Amogene Wilkerson, a brother Kenneth David Wilkerson and sister Judith Ann Blount of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Surviving siblings are Mary Katheryn Foster (Clifford L.) of Sherman, Texas and Nancy S. Haggerty (Lloyd F.) of Del City, Oklahoma, Robert L. (Bob) Wilkerson (Terri) of Midwest City, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Cathy D. Wilkerson, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
