Raietta Gramig, age 84, entered eternal rest on October 30, 2024. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Raietta shared 63 years with her beloved husband John "Jack" Gramig, who preceded her in death only last November.
Raietta was a devoted mother to five children and found great joy in raising them. They take great comfort in knowing their parents have reunited in Heaven.
Raietta was known for her love of sewing, bowling, shopping, playing cards, betting on the horses, and occasionally visiting a casino testing her luck on the slot machines.
Raietta was proud to be a member of the 1958 Butler High School first graduating class.
After dedicating 24 years to Baptist Health (formerly Baptist Hospital East) in Patient Registration and the Billing Department, she continued to share her warm spirit with all who crossed her path.
Raietta is lovingly remembered by her children, Kevin (Dawn), Keith (MaryAnn), Kerry (Dianne), Kelli (Lynn), and Kristi (Kahlil); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donnie Settle (Cindy); as well as nieces, nephews, many dear friends, and her beloved Yorki, Holli.
She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Raymond Settle and Mabel Hall, her stepmother, Bernadette Settle, and her stepfather, Calvin Hall.
Visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial gardens East on Friday, November 8, 2024, 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 9, 2024, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., with burial immediately afterward.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Raietta's memory to Hosparus Health of Louisville, Visiting Angels, The Alzheimer's Association, or Butler High School. Condolences and memories may be shared at Louisville Memorial Gardens East website.
