Ralph Eugene (Jay) Hawkins (57) was born on March 11th 1968 in Oklahoma City to Linda Kay Hawkins and Ralph Eugene Hawkins Sr. He was nicknamed Jay/Jaybird by his Mimi. Jay was very active in his youth, participating in baseball and little league football, as well as Cub and Boy Scouts attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout and NJLIC with honors. Jay graduated from Putnam City high school in the class of 1985 and went on to work in construction, doing drywall for multiple companies over several decades. His love for sports carried into adulthood as he was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, he would do everything he could to make sure he'd catch the game. He had a unique sense of humor and had his way of going about things, but he was a one of a kind individual who considered his friends his family. He loved hanging out, listening to music, having a drink, and talking with his buddies when he could.
Jay is preceded in death by his mother Linda Hawkins, step son Joshua Heatley, grandparents Buddy and Helen Harmon, Allie Hawkins (mother of his step children) and many friends he'd been waiting to see again.
Jay is survived by his father, Gene Hawkins, brother Jamie Hawkins, daughters Kayla, Abigail, Emily Hawkins, Dusty Mason (mother of his children), step daughter Shalina, Timothy Hawkins (nephew), step granddaughter Alyssa Heatley, and friends too numerous to mention.
