Ramona Wright Bailey, age 64, was reunited with her husband at Heaven's gates on December 9th2024. She was born on December 4th, 1960, to the late Paul and Carolyn Wright. Ramona had only just come into the world less than two minutes before she caused the first fight between her siblings. You see, her brother wanted another brother, and he knew for sure that he was now outnumbered Her parents, brother, and sister would tell you that Ramona was the only one of the "military brats" that was born a Yankee. She was the baby, and she always got her way when it came to things.Family has always been deep rooted in Ramona. She made it a point to visit everyone to make those special memories. There was never any trip too close or too far away for her. She drove from her home in Tennessee to New Mexico, South Dakota, Alabama, and wherever else she needed to be present with the ones that she loved. Ramona knew that family relationships were the glue that held everyone together. She was the mother of two boys and one girl, and the Grams to six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and Aunt Monie to her nieces and nephews. Ramona loved all those grands fiercely. Over the years her family grew by hundreds due to her warm and loving nature to everyone around her. She was such a giver and only expected love and kindness in return. Ramona was a pay it forward type person. Her door was always open if you needed conversation, a bed to rest, a warm meal, a hug, and a prayer. She did not judge anyone or their struggles in life. Ramona had faced her own troubles head on and came out on top and was given a second chance in life. She gave her life to Christ and was a born-again Christian. Ramona celebrated 35 years of sobriety with pride. She gave back in return by becoming a counselor at Celebrate Recovery where she shared her story and helped others battle their struggles head on.Ramona loved so many things about life. She spent her free time gardening; she had a passion for flowers. Ramona and her best friend, Nancy, loved to travel. It was nothing for them to decide to load up and hit the road to go catch a baseball game in person. She treated holidays a little more extra special after her second chance in life. She made sure everyone knew there was a plate for them, family to surround themselves with, memories to be made, laughs to be had, and love to be shared. Even though the holidays will be different this year, Ramona's love will continue to live on in each and everyone's life that she touched.Ramona is preceded in death by her husband, William Keith Bailey, two sons; Kristopher and Chuck Bailey, and one sister, Paulette Black. She is survived by one daughter, Ashley Bailey, one brother, Randy (Deborah) Wright, one brother-in-law, Jimmy Black, six grandchildren; Brylee Bailey, Tana Wildes, Karson Wildes, Kaden Bailey, Nate Wildes, Kayln Bailey, one great-grandchild, Mariella Boites, and a host of many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the C.O.P.D. Foundation in memory of Ramona Wright Bailey. This was a foundation that was close to her heart, as she lost her mother to this disease and was later diagnosed with the disease.
