Randall Lee Mercer, 78, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023.
Randall was born on May 2, 1944, to Donald Mercer and Kathlyn (Gross) Mercer in Owensboro, Kentucky. Randall and his wife, Lucy, met at the young age of 15 and never looked back. They were young and in love and together, they created a beautiful life with their 6 children. Randall devoted 50 years to working for Tool and Die. He was a talented woodworker and had a knack for making furniture. In Randall's spare time, he enjoyed being on the open road with his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Above all, spending time with family and friends was his greatest joy. Their home was always open for all holidays and family gatherings. Randall was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.
Randall is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Lucy Mercer; children William (Lori) Mercer, Donald Mercer, Silas (Rebecca) Mercer, John (Amanda) Mercer, Jeremiah Mercer, Melynda Cole; grandchildren Tate Mercer, Daniel Mercer, Larissa Mercer, Donovan Mercer, Zoe Mercer, Zac Mercer, Lilly Mercer, Silas (Taylor) Mercer Jr., Sabrina (Daniel) Reese, Abigail Mercer, Jade (Josiah) Barton, Jacob Mercer, James Mercer, Jacklyn Mercer, Jayda Mercer, Jaycee Mercer, Larry Littleton, Haven Swan, Killian Swan; great-grandchildren Daylan, Natalie, Owen, Michael, Benjamin, Daffani, Matthew, Phillip, Seraphine; siblings Donald Ray (Ginger) Mercer, James Mercer, Debora Koff, Brenda Mercer; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Kathlyn Mercer.
Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at 12pm on April 18, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home with a burial to directly follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
