Raymond G. Laliberte was called home on the 26th day of March 2024.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Pauline and his eldest son Stephen. He leaves behind his children, Suzanne Russell, her husband Richard Russell and their children Matthew, Raechel, and Emma. David, and his wife Kari and their children, Rebeca, Jonathan, Alexandra, Christian, Victoria, and David Benjamin. Raymond Mark, and his wife Valerie and their children, Thomas and Nicolas. Thomas, and his children Samara, Brielle, and Charlotte. And his son Stephen's two children, Emily and Stephen Ray. His sister Claire (Sister Marlene Laliberte), two brother-in-laws, Robert and Maurice Leblanc and a sister-in-law Lucille Lussier, and her husband Albert.
Raymond was a beacon of integrity and strength within his family and the community. He dedicated 20 years of his early life to serving his country in the Coast Guard, a testament to his unwavering commitment to service. Upon retirement, Pauline and he founded a small but successful real estate business that flourished for 30 years under his and her diligent stewardship.
His life was a tapestry of deep love, hard work, and meaningful connections. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Pauline, with whom he shared a beautiful life of bounty, hardship, and joy. Together, they were the proud parents of 5 children and grandparents to 16 grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy and laughter into his life.
In his later years, Raymond found renewed happiness and companionship with Judy Willis. Judy inspired him to embrace new adventures, and together, they shared five years of love, travel, and joy.
Ray's dedication to family took him on numerous trips to Europe, and he made special visits to see his children and grandchildren in Spain, Norway, Argentina, France, Iceland, Bermuda, and London, creating lasting memories with each journey. Raymond was a voracious reader who valued an organized life. His conservative views were always presented with respect and openness to reasoned debate, demonstrating his profound respect for others' opinions. A lover of card games, he spent countless hours playing with his children and grandchildren, instilling in them the values of honesty, strategy, and family unity.
For over 50 years, Raymond stood as the respected patriarch of the Laliberte clan, a role he held with honor and grace. Affectionately addressed as "Pepere" or "Ray" all who knew him will forever cherish the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind.
Family, relatives, and close friends are welcome to assemble for a period of visitation Thursday, April 4th at 9:30am in Chapman Funerals and Cremations 475 Main Street Falmouth.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Raymond's life will be held at 11:00am in St. Patrick's Church Falmouth.
Burial will follow the Mass at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:30pm.
Donations in honor of Raymond made to the American Cancer Association.
The Laliberte family extends their deepest gratitude to those who have offered support and love during this difficult time. Raymond's spirit and guidance will continue to light our paths forever.

Our deepest condolences to Ray and his family. I met Ray at the Falmouth Cardiac rehabilitation session a few years ago. Needless to say he became the highlight of our group and a personal friend of many of his colleagues. He was a great listener, full of wisdom, joy and personality. He will be missed.
