Rebecca Sue "Becky" Sexton

Rebecca "Becky" Sue Sexton, daughter of the late Virgil and Joan Beeckman, age 61 of Bay City, passed away peacefully with family by her side on July 16, 2024, at The Toni & Trish House in Auburn. Becky leaves behind her three greatest accomplishments, daughters Haley, Samantha (Carrie), and Sarah (Cole), as well as her beloved husband of 38 years, David Sexton. Becky is also survived by her bonus daughter, Michelle (Mark), grandchildren Amber (Troy), Ryan, and Parker, and great-grandchildren Jase and Lennox. She is further survived by her nine siblings, Paul Beeckman, Nancy (Tom) Klopp, Cindy Sinchak, Sherri (Dan) Hollister, Charlene (Harry) Miller, Bob (Sue) Beeckman, Bill (Barb) Beeckman, Peggy Burke, and Amy Hurley, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom was born at Mercy Hospital on Oct. 6, 1962, and graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1980 before moving to Texas to start her career and family. She worked as a business analyst for EDS/HP for 34 years and was very active in her Richardson, TX, community church St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, where she was everyone's favorite catechism teacher. Mom also enjoyed playing cards with her siblings and hosting Bunco nights as well as the occasional casino trip.
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Toni & Trish House and Sheffield Bay Assisted Living who have been there for her and our family throughout this journey. She loves you all and we appreciate you greatly.
The Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church with Fr. Nicholas Coffaro presiding. Private interment will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at Trahan Funeral Chapel on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., and at church on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations for funeral expenses.
