Reuben leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 33 years, Lynell Fournette Evans; 3 children, Raquis, Reuben Jr, and Rashaad Evans; 5 grandchildren, Remi Evans, Shyloh and Syncere Dalcour, Fallyn Martin, and Amir Theard; 2 sisters, Troy Curtis and Brandy Evans; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend his Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, July 27, 2024, 10:00AM, at St. James Methodist Church, 1925 Ursulines Ave, NOLA with Pastor George Green officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the hour of service. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.

Praying that God gives this family the strength that they need during this difficult time. Reuben was my brother´s best friend at Clark. I remember seeing him in Walmart on the morning of my brother´s funeral. He looked like someone knocked the life out of him when I told him that he passed away. He immediately went online and left a heartfelt memory. Good friends united again. May his soul rest in peace. Family, God is able!

Extending my prayers and condolences to Reuben's family and friends. I worked with Reuben for almost 10 years at Delgado and he was always the best at helping us get our projects done at Sidney Collier whether big or small. He was my "go to" guy that could do anything you ask of him, I don't ever remember him saying no. We had lots of jokes with him working with Don and he loved sharing the progress of all his home projects over the years. I know he is in a better place and at peace but it is still so hard to believe that he is no longer with us. I still expect to see him pop up in the office talking about what we need done. Reuben may your soul rest in eternal peace, you will be sorely missed my friend.

I wish to extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Reuben. I work at Delgado in the Campus Police Dept and would often see Reuben around the campus. He seemed a quiet but straight-forward individual. When I had an idea of what I needed or what I wanted to accomplish, I could always call Reuben and share my thoughts and he always had a great solution at making the idea come to fuition!
