Richard Matta

EASTON--Richard Matta, 57, passed away February 23, 2011 at his home in Highlands Ranch, CO. He was born to the late Thomas and Lois (Schulenburg) Matta on April 9, 1953, in Brockton, MA. Rich was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School Class of 1971 and later attended East Coast Aero Tech, graduating in 1983. Rich’s passion in life was aviation. He began a career as a corporate pilot with Cigna Insurance, traveling to many parts of the world. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, riding his motorcycle, hiking and camping. Rich is survived by his wife, Troylene Matta, his three daughters; Kate Tanguay, of Rochester, NH, Heather Matta of Irvine, CA and Lauren Matta, of Irvine, CA. He is also survived by his two sisters and one brother; Jayne Matta of Easton, MA, Susan Brooks of Raynham, MA, and David Matta of North Carolina. Relatives and friend are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 8th from 6 to 8pm at Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street, Easton.
