Richard "Rick" Dean Phillips, 70, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
Rick was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois on May 1, 1953 to Melvin and Joann (Heninger) Lefler. He was a graduate of Central High School. Rick was an old hippie. He worked at Donut Depot in Ft. Branch. Rick enjoyed class rock and watching military documentaries. He loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Rick is survived by his wife of 22 years, Treva (Weiss) Phillips; daughters, April Baumgart and Chris Phillips; sons, Tim Phillips and Michael Phillips; step-children, Stephen Weiss (Shalin Brown), Stacy Rheinlander, and Tim McCormick; mother, Joann (Heninger) Lefler; sisters, Debbi Robbins and Karla Dupont; brother, Ronald Phillips; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Dean Phillips.
A celebration of Rick's life will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating.
Friends may visit from 9:00 am until service time on Thursday at Browning Funeral Home.

We both knew Him because of Working with Him at Donut Depot. He had Great Sense of Humor and was Always Willing to help when You Needed. He could Always turn Your Upside Down Smile in to a Happy Smile. Always tried to make Everyone have a Wonderful, Beautiful Day. RIP Rick..... February 25, 2024
