Richard "Steven" Vess beloved husband, father, and friend passed away on December 8th 2023. He was 53 years old.
Steven was born on July 31st, 1970 to Sandra Easterling in Tampa Florida. He graduated from Leto High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army (Old Guard) and spent several years in Washington DC. He was known for his witty charm and beautiful smile.
He was a loving and devoted husband to Christina Vess. They shared 18 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
As a father, Steven was a constant source of love, support and guidance to his sons, Garrett and Gavin. He tried hard to instill in them the values of honesty, integrity and hard work and encouraged them to pursue their dreams.
Steven had a passion for hunting and spending time with his family. He became a grandfather in 2017 and was the Best Papa to his Ella Rae. He had a kind and compassionate heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Steven will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. HIs legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire and guide us.
Steven is survived by his wife Christina Vess, his sons Garrett and Gavin, his mother Sandra Easterling (Dickie Saa), his sister Shannon Vess, his granddaughter Gabriella Vess and countless beloved family and friends.
A funeral service and burial to celebrate Steven's life will be held on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 at Boza and Roel 4730 North Armenia Avenue, Tampa, FLorida 33603 at 11:00am.
