Ricky Lyn Mulcahy

A member of our Tribe has gone onto glory:
Ricky Lyn Mulcahy, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on July 1, 2024, after a short illness and courageous battle. He was born on August 25, 1952, to Robert Lucien and Virginia Mulcahy. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 52 ½ years, Agnes Sue Peel Mulcahy. Also surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Lyn Mulcahy; son, Joshua Mulcahy; and his grandchildren, Jordan Mulcahy, Dani Welch, Adley, Avery, and Griffin Mulcahy; three brothers, Bruce (Carolyn), Robbie (Linda), and Robert (Lisa) Mulcahy Jr.; brother-in-law, Allen "Doodle" Peel; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Wallace, and Sharon Carver (Bob); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special friend, Nick Sevastakis, and a special cousin, Roy Mulcahy. He was preceded in death by a son, Seth Mulcahy. He leaves to his memory many friends along life's journey, too numerous to mention. He enjoyed the very special and close relationship he shared with his grandchildren, Jordan and Dani. They were the light of his life, and he leaves with them so many special memories of the good times they shared. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 6, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be Jordan Mulcahy, Josh Mulcahy, Robby Mulcahy, Robert "Butch" Mulcahy Jr., Allen "Doodle" Peel, Nick Sevastakis, Bob Carver, and Roy Mulcahy. Bruce Mulcahy, Edward "Buck" Baker, Brandy Reed, Robby Carver, and Harold Steele will serve as honorary bearers. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral home. The family wishes to give their neighbors special thanks for their love and support during Ricky's journey over the past six months: Rick West, Dorothy and Harry Van Epps, Duane Gaston, and Lynn Withers, and Barbara and Jerry Sell. The Mulcahys also wish to extend their deepest gratitude to Bluegrass Care Navigators for the care they offered Ricky during his time with them.
