The family will receive friends and extended family members on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 12:30-1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with private services to follow. Robert, the son of Robert Keith Cranston, Sr. and Izella Reppe Cranston, was born in Huntsville, AL. He moved with his family shortly thereafter to Leland, MS where he spent most of his younger years, graduating from Leland High School in 1957. There he participated in Football, Basketball and Track and was a member of the Hot Rod Club. He later earned a degree in Registered Forestry from Mississippi State University and was a member of the Society of American Foresters.

Robert married Dorothy Drummond in 1960 and together they raised their family in Greenville amongst many extended family members and friends. He was owner and operator of Cranston Timberland Management and co-owner of Cranston's Flowers and Gifts which served Greenville for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The importance of family was a life-long value that Robert shared with his children and grandchildren who treasure that gift more with every year that passes. His presence will be truly missed, but he will always be remembered with love.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Keith Cranston, Sr. and Izella Reppe Cranston; his sister, Sylvia Ann Cranston McDaniel; and his son, Michael Gregory Cranston.

Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Drummond Cranston; three children, Kimberly Cranston Bergeron (Paul), Walter Keith Cranston (Julie), Christian Cranston Boudreaux (Tony); nine grandchildren, Connor Marshall Bergeron, McKenzie Cranston Skinner (Chris), Briar Keith Cranston, Molly Elizabeth Cranston, Cameron Jackson Bergeron, Brett Nicholas Cranston, Keith Anthony Boudreaux, Christian Thomas Boudreaux, and Claire Anne Boudreaux; two brothers, Kenneth Ray Cranston and Philip Edwin Cranston (Suzie); daughter-in-law, Missi Cranston and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will not be receiving guests at home due to Covid and sincerely appreciate your understanding.
