Robert "Bob" D'Andrea born July 25th, 1957 passed away unexpectedly on February 9th, 2025.
Born in Providence, RI to Anthony and Rita D'Andrea. Bob was a graduate of Johnston High School class of 1976 and joined the United States Marine Corps from 1977 to 1981. He was the most patriotic Marine you have ever met. After an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Bob attended Bryant University where he received his Masters in Taxation and became a Certified Public Accountant.
He enjoyed fishing, target shooting, catching turtles, boating, reuniting with the Gypsy Bandits, and spending time with his family. Bob was also very adept at color coding things, even when it was absolutely unnecessary and had an unusual hobby of gluing moss to rocks that were often stolen from surrounding areas. Other hobbies included talking to people he didn't know, hanging out with his dog, Gertie and cheering loudly at his kids' and grandkids' sporting events.
Bob is survived by his wife, Donna with whom he was married to for over forty years; his children Nina (D'Andrea) Girardi and her husband Joe; Maria (D'Andrea) Dorval and her husband Chris; Angelica; Christopher; Georgia; and Vinny. His five grandchildren Donovan, Lincoln, Jade, Gemma and Juno were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his brother Joe Sabatino, his wife Maryann and their children Jackie and Dana.
He will be deeply missed by his family and all who have had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Private services have been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to West Place Animal Sanctuary- 3198 Main Rd. Tiverton, RI to help the turtles he loved so dearly. He also once rode a Sea Turtle while on vacation in the Bahamas which he was very proud of but was concerned that it may not have been legal, otherwise he would have talked about it more.
