Robert (Bob) Louis Farrell, 90, Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather
Robert (Bob) Louis Farrell, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories. He was born April 11, 1934 in Chicago and raised in Indiana.
A devoted husband, Bob shared 64 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Flo. Together, they raised their family in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was a loving father and father-in-law to Kim (Ken), Amy (Paul), Jenny (Chris), and Jim (Carlin). He was also a proud grandfather to Zoe, Katie, Jim, Ian, and Brent, and a great-grandfather to his great-granddaughter, Angelene. Bob was also a beloved uncle to his two nieces, Norma and Nancy.
After World War II, as a member of the US Army, Bob was stationed in Schwetzingen, Germany and served his country with pride. His time abroad sparked a lifelong passion for travel that he shared with his wife. After his military service, he began a successful career as a salesman in the medical supply industry, where his warmth and charisma left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
An avid golfer and tennis player, Bob found joy on the course and courts, where his love for the games shined. He also had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the ukulele–his family delighted in being serenaded on their birthdays. Bob also enjoyed life's simple pleasures-ice cream, French fries, a fine single malt scotch, and an ice cold beer.
More than anything else, Bob was the bedrock of his family. He was always there, in good times and in bad–with a word of encouragement and support. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and the love he shared with those around him.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a glass in his honor and cherish the moments spent with loved ones-just as Bob always did.

Ninety years is a long and full life, but it doesn't make the loss any less painful. I know he battled cancer with strength and courage, and my heart goes out to you all during this difficult time.
I have fond memories of Uncle Bob. His funny stories, his kindness and smile. He was a truly special person, and his presence will be deeply missed.
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers
