Robert was born December 4, 1943, in Flint to the late William and Lucille (Deitering) Kulhanek and was a lifelong resident of the Chesaning area. He was a graduate of Chesaning Union Schools and was a farmer his entire life on the prairie farm. Robert was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albee Twp. and St. Christopher Council #2943 Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are: daughters, Tammy Clancy and Staci Kulhanek; siblings: David (Jalene) Kulhanek, Kenneth Kulhanek, and Carol Beldyga; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Larry Beldyga.
Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday January 17, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albee Twp. Fr. John Cotter officiating. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery in Albee Twp. Visitation will be held at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Tuesday from 2-7 p.m. with a Vigil service at 6 p.m. and a rosary at 7 p.m. by the Knights of Columbus. At the request of the family, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Albee or the Knights of Columbus St. Chrisopher Council #2943. You may light a memorial candle or share a condolence at misiukfuneralhome.com.

I have so many memories of you my dear friend! You were loved like one of my brothers! You had a huge caring heart and you were one in a million!! I loved all your stories and your visits to Tucson! A place you always had dreamed of living one day!! I will always remember your laughter and your great sense of humor!! You had a memory as sharp as a tack!! I'll here your voice say....call me after the world news.....you loved to talk and catch up with what was going on! Thank you Roberto for always caring like a brother and being a forever friend!! I know you missed your mom and dad so much and I'm sure they were there at the entrance of heaven to greet you!! I know that will put so much happiness in your heart!! Fly high with the angels and watch over all of us still on earth!! God Bless you Rob...I will miss you my friend!!
