Robert Losty Obituary
Bob graduated from Windsor High School in 1958 and went on to enlist in the US Army. After he was honorably discharged from the service, he began his career at RCA in computers. When he retired from the computer industry, he went onto working in security and worked at The Hartford Steamboiler biulding as the Manager of Security. Bob made his home Windsor Locks and had three children with his first wife, Robert, Jr., Craig and Brian. In his free time, he loved to watch the Boston Red Sox, Uconn Women's basketball and most of all spend time with his dogs. He would often take his dog for a walk along the Windsor Locks Canal. It was on one of these walks that he would meet the love of his life, the woman he would spend the rest of his days with, Rosemary. Their first date was on Good Friday which was April Fools Day that year, April 1, 1994. They married on September 19, 1995 and have spent 28 years happily married since.
Left to mourn Bob are his wife, Rosemary (Swortzel) Losty, sons; Robert Losty, Jr. and his wife Carolyn of New Haven, CT, Craig Losty and his wife Lyn of Corolla, NC, step-children; Kristina McGuire of Windsor Locks, CT, William Grant and his wife, Michele of Windsor Locks, CT, sister; Joan Bologna and her husband Robert of Easthampton, MA,; former wife, Donna Losty and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Kathryn Losty, and his son, Brian Losty.
Visitation will take place at Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
