Robert F. Radder, age 74 of rural Kiel, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, October 13, 2023.
Bob was born on April 28, 1949, in Manitowoc, to the late Fred W. and Bertha H. (Stuckman) Radder. He was a graduate of Kiel High School with the class of 1967. He then attended the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. On October 25, 1975, Bob married the love of his life; Kaye Henschel at Bethlehem UCC in the town of Schleswig. The couple was blessed with three wonderful children they adopted from Korea.
Bob owned and operated Birchlawn Dairy Farm, the home of Rob-Rad Holsteins with Kaye. He was later employed at various implement companies before joining Gibbsville Implement, where he retired as a service manager.
Bob was a lifetime member at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, where he was very active, serving many leadership roles. He also coached for over 20 years in the Kiel Soccer Club as well as helped build the new fields, assisting in getting grants and the land. With his family's support, Bob served as town treasurer for 27 years. He was a fan of Wisconsin sports and enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Bucks.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Kaye; two sons: David Radder (Monica) and Brian (Ashley) Radder; two grandsons, Riley and Declan: his brothers: Gene and Lloyd (Doreen) Radder; mother-in-law: Shirley Henschel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kathleen (Louis) Bowe, Lee (Nancy) Henschel, Shelly (Dan) Bonde, Shari (Glenn) VerStraate, and Neal (Debbie) Henschel and aunt, Jean Henschel. Bob is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Bertha; a daughter: Whitney; father-in-law: Kenneth Henschel and a nephew, Michael Henschel.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Bethlehem UCC (11608 Lax Chapel Road, Kiel) with Rev. Randy Koppenhaver officiating at the service. Bob will be laid to rest next to his daughter Whitney in the church cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
A memorial fund will be established in his name.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Benjamin Dellaria and all of the staff at Ascension Hospitals for the care provided for Bob.
