Bob was an officer in the Navy during the Korean War. He held a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and had a number of patents. He finally retired at the age of 80. He was a quiet brilliant man who had a huge heart. He was always the first to lend a helping hand with tools from his vast collection.
Left to cherish his memory are his seven children – Dr. Robert Shaw, III (Leslie), William Shaw (Theresa), Dr. Monica Ann Shaw, Mark Shaw (Laura), Patricia Vittitow (Ed), Judge Mary Shaw, and Jane St Clair, along with his amazing 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Patricia Lassiter.
A private Catholic Mass with burial in Calvary Cemetery will be held.

I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Bob was an extraordinary man, one who could do ANYTHING! In 1969 when we (the Muenninghoffs) moved into our house on Farnsley, your mom and dad rang the front doorbell and in came this huge kitchen pedestal table that he had designed and built as a gift for mom (Mealie). 53 years later the table is still there and no one knows just how many people haved gathered around that table. Bob was a good man and I'm sure will be missed, but he is with the love of his life.

I´m so so Sorry. I haven´t seen the Shaw family in awhile but have fond memories of all our reunions. My Dad Was Rhea ( Dr C. R Shaw. My he Rest In Peace.
