Robert S. Specht

Townsend-Robert S. Specht, Jr., 81, of Townsend, passed away on Monday evening, December 8, 2025 in his home in Townsend.

Bob was born in Somerville, on February 10, 1944, a son of the late Robert S. and Barbara E. (Fisher) Specht.

He graduated from Bedford High School in 1962 and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Bob worked in the technology industry, his entire career, starting at Honeywell and retiring as a supervisor and manager at Decision Data.

Bob enjoyed building and flying gas remote airplanes, camping and computers, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He leaves his wife of 60 years Linda J. (Thoresen) Specht of Townsend; a son, Darren R. Specht and his wife Patricia of Lunenburg; a daughter, Heather S. Moger, and her husband, Thomas of Virginia; five grandchildren, Courtney Dallenbach, Joshua Moger, Brittany Gesin, Zachary Moger, and Christian Specht; four great grandchildren, Gabriel, Penelope, Annie, and Evangeline, nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard K. Specht of Townsend who passed away in 2022.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16 at 11 AM in the Hillside Cemetery in Townsend.

The T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
