Robert Stone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Britton-Wallace Funeral Home - Auburn on Oct. 8, 2025.

Robert D. "Bob" Stone, Jr., 67, formerly of Brockton and Webster, passed away in the early hours of Friday, October 3, 2025, surrounded by his family.
He leaves his daughters whom he was most proud of, Nicole L. Stone, of Webster, and Danyel J. MacLean and her husband Cameron, of Auburn; their mother, his former wife, Michele (Kennedy) Stone, of Webster; and his sister, Beth A. Figuerido and her husband Tony, of Auburn.
Bob was born in Worcester, son of the late Robert D. Stone, Sr. and Nancy E. (Cahill) Stone. He was raised in Auburn, attended and graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton. Bob's specialty was carpentry and home repairs, and he worked as a contractor for many years.
Bob enjoyed simple things in life and was particularly fond of classic rock music, like Jimi Hendrix. He always had an appreciation for the outdoors and loved driving a Harley, running on 4-wheelers, ice-fishing, and deer hunting. He enjoyed playing cribbage (and right up to the end could beat most of us!), shooting pool, throwing darts, playing horseshoes, and watching the Patriots. Bob's quick wit and one-liners will be sadly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the VA Brockton Spinal Cord Injury Unit – mail to Brockton VA Medical Center, 940 Belmont Street, Brockton MA 02301, Attention: SCIU-Building #8, Joan Lynch (11K). In the memo of check, note "SCIU Brockton Recreation Therapy."
Bob's family would like to thank the Spinal Cord Injury Unit and the care-givers at the Brockton Campus of the VA Boston Healthcare System for their care, support, and friendships over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Stone family from 9:00 – 10:45 AM on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, with burial to follow at North Cemetery in Oxford. Please feel free to wear your favorite camo, Harley, or rock band garb in Bob's honor!

To Beth, Tony, Danyl, Nicole and Michele.
I know a space in your heart is hurting and you will miss him. But he is in a better place.
Growing up with him I have a lot of memories. It´s hard to think of being an Aunt to him because we are close in age.
I loved that he became great friends with boys who enjoyed ice fishing.
There are no words that I can say to make you feel better . But, just know you are loved.

I´m sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Bob coming to my house to help me with some kind of home repair. He was always pleasant and helpful. I´m sure he´ll be missed by family and friends alike.
