It is with both sadness and celebration of a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Robin Dale Burgess, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed from us on January 14, 2025. Born in Duluth, Georgia, Robin brought joy and laughter to everyone she encountered. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her passionate involvement in her community.
A proud graduate of Central Gwinnett High School in 1983, Robin began her professional journey at Wang Laboratories before dedicating herself to being a devoted homemaker. Her passion for nurturing her family extended to her role as a dedicated volunteer at Trinity Chapel Academy, where she was cherished by both colleagues and students. As an active member of Trinity Chapel Church of God, Robin's spirit and commitment resonated through her many contributions to the church and its community.
Robin's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Lloyd Burgess, Jr.; her father, Ron Clement; her sons, Chris (Sarah) Burgess, Powder Springs, GA, and Brent Burgess, Atlanta, GA; her sisters, Annette Adams, Braselton, GA, and Robin Smith, Savannah, GA; her brother, Ron (Debbie) Loving, Molalla, OR; and her cherished grandchildren, William, Jackson, Elizabeth, and Vivien Burgess.
Robin was the kind of person who lived life with intention and grace, planning her adventures months in advance. She always looked forward to her trips to the beach, embarking on a cruise, or traveling up to the mountains in North Carolina where she loved to retreat and embrace the breathtaking beauty of her surroundings. Yet, her true legacy lies in her boundless love for others. Robin’s servant’s heart was her guiding light, inspiring her to never miss an opportunity where she could make a lasting impact in every single life that she came into contact with.
A celebration of her life will be held to honor her life on January 24, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, with visitation starting at 3:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Robin's remarkable journey and share their cherished memories.
As we gather to remember Robin, let us fill the air with stories, laughter, and love, reflecting her vibrant spirit and the impact she had on all our lives. Her light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
