Rodney Thomas Boisvert, a devoted husband, father, departed this life on September 21, 2024, after a long battle with health issues. Born on January 14, 1956, in La Mesa, California, Rodney exemplified the spirit of his hometown of Santee, California through his unwavering dedication to family, work, and community.

A proud graduate of Patrick Henry High School in 1973, he embarked on a career that began with four years as a police officer, a calling that reflected his commitment to service and justice. He unfortunately sustained a career ending injury which then transitioned him to a successful 25-year endeavor in landscaping, where he not only cultivated beautiful spaces but also cherished the connections he made throughout the years. Rodney’s talents were as multifaceted as the landscapes he tended; he possessed remarkable skills in mechanics, construction, and electrical work. He was a man of integrity, known for his straightforward honesty, generosity, and a sense of humor that lit up every room he entered.

Rodney found joy in ordinary moments that turned into cherished memories, such as camping trips in the desert with his family, and the exhilaration of car and go-kart races. Hanging out at Cajon Speedway with family and friends. His sons, Brandon and Brett were his pride and joy; he could often be seen cheering for Brandon in racing competitions, and on the sidelines, supporting Brett at football games. The love he held for them mirrored the love they received from him—unconditional and steadfast.

In addition to his cherished role as a father, Rodney was a beloved husband to his wife, Crystal. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and love. He delighted in the joys of being a grandfather to Killian and Kayden, reveling in the precious moments that colored his later years.

Rodney’s zest for life extended to his hobbies, which included collecting stamps and coins, a passion that sparked excitement in the simple act of discovery. He also found great satisfaction in working on cars, spending countless hours in the garage immersed in engines and their intricacies.

He leaves behind a legacy woven with compassion and strength, not only within his immediate family—his beloved Crystal, his sons Brett and Brandon, and their wives Anne and Schyler, as well as his grandchildren Killian and Kayden—but also amongst his sisters, Melanie and Renee, who carry forth his memory. As well as several nieces and nephews. Rodney was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Boisvert, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

As we remember Rodney Thomas Boisvert, we celebrate a life richly lived and dedicated to those he loved. His spirit echoes in the laughter of his family, the smiles of his grandchildren, and the lessons of integrity and humor he imparted to all who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
