Roger W. Lahaie age 81, formerly of Marinette Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday
February 12 th at 5:11 pm. Roger was born March 1, 1943, to the late Kenneth and Svea
(Granlund) Lahaie in Marinette.
Roger spent his childhood in Marinette and graduated from Marinette High School in 1961. He
continued his education at the University of Wisconsin where he earned a BS degree in 1966.
Roger joined the Army in 1966 and served two years receiving an honorable discharge after
service in Vietnam. Roger joined the Department of State as a Diplomatic Courier in 1969 and
retired after 33 years in 2002. He returned to Marinette after having served tours in Washington
D.C., Frankfurt Germany and Bangkok Thailand. While retired, he was employed by the
Marinette School District as a substitute teacher.
Roger is survived by his son, Chad of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Also a sister, Marlene Mason of
Sun City Center, Florida. Along with his parents and brother, Richard, Roger was preceded in
death by his wife, Juliana of Sydney, Australia.
There will be a graveside service with Military Honors by the Military Twenty Year Club in Forest Home Cemetery on Saturday, March 15th at 11am.
