Ronald Allen Canini was born on August 20, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Marian Canini. Ronald departed this life peacefully on August 22, 2025 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Survived by wife, Tammy Canini of Westerville, Ohio; daughters, Ronda (Patrick) Canini-Ike of Springfield, Georgia, Gina Wellspring of New Lexington, Ohio, and Tracy Rogers of Hague, North Dakota; brother, Tom (Gail) Canini of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Lane and Brooklyn of Springfield, Georgia; and nephews, Brandon Canini and Kevin Canini. Ron was proceeded in death by his father, John Canini and mother, Marian Canini along with the beloved chihuahua, Taco. Ron was a graduate of North High School class of 1964. He worked for Western Electric for several years before moving on to work for Conrail Railroad where he was a conductor/engineer. He retired and moved to Florida and then back to Ohio. Ron faced many challenges in his life, but with faith, determination, and love he overcame those struggles. We are extremely proud of the strength he showed every day. Ron chose a new path of sobriety. Ron's courage and commitment to recovery serves as a reminder that renewal and hope are always possible. Beyond that journey, Ron loved a good spaghetti sauce, the ocean, trains, the weather and a basic transistor radio and let's not forget he was always ready for a lively conversation about the news of the day or the many mysteries of the world. We will forever miss you, Dad. God Saw You God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered "Come to me". You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. And when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain I could not wish you back To suffer that again. Anon The family to hold private service.
