Ronald Eugene Lowe, 73, of Monett, MO, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 17, 2025, while at his home.
Ron was born on March 3, 1951, in Neosho, MO, son of the late Herb and Dorothy (Owens) Lowe. He graduated from Pierce City High School with the class of 1969. He then furthered his education by attending the Monett Vocational School where he studied auto body. For over twenty-five years, he owned and operated his own auto body shop. In 2005, Ron began his career as a salesman working for Spradling Motors. He worked there for over thirteen years. It was at the end of this time that he had a tragic motorcycle accident and lost his leg. This was not to slow him down, as he worked the next seven years for Wal-Mart as a Greeter and as a salesman for Quick Draw Gun Shop (this was his favorite job). He loved the people and with his gift of gab, they loved to visit with him.
Ron was always doing something, helping neighbors and friends or a part of a group. Throughout his years, he was a part of the Pierce City/Monett Jaycees (Past President), the Monett Sportsmen League, Charter Member of Quail Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation and Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, trap, skeet, and sporting clay's, participating in national events. He liked taking his grandchildren target shooting. He loved guns and for many years ran a business, Color Me Guns, painting and restoring them out of his home. He was a master reloader and gunsmith where he would repair, modify, design and build firearms. For many years he taught hunter safety courses. Ron was a past Master of Monett Masonic Lodge. Also, he was a member of Scottish Rite, and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine. He participated in two different parade units, the trikes and the firehouse gang. He was also a faithful member of New Site Baptist Church, where he began a motorcycle ministry.
On October 29, 1982, Ron Lowe married Lynn Marie Wormington. They have been blessed with over forty-two years of wonderful memories made together.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn, of the home; five children, Karla Casper of Bonner Springs, KS, Chad Casper of Kansas City, KS, Craig Lowe of Freistatt, Melissa Rodriguez and husband Mel of Mt. Vernon, MO, and Christopher Lowe and wife Jodi of Pierce City, MO; twelve grandchildren, Cody Lowe, Dillon Lowe and wife Caitlin, Blake Alford and wife Alyssa, Justine Trevino, Arika Davis and husband Reid, Brelyn Casper, Hailey Mazur, Mason Lowe, Juli Lowe, Landyn Mayes, Ryder Casper and Cash Lowe; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ricky Lowe; one sister, Glenda Barchak and husband Frank; and his aunt, Shirlee Newland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Lowe.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2025, at New Site Baptist Church with Reverend Garrett Maxey and Reverend Aaron Weibel officiating.
