Betty Prier

Betty Prier, 87, of Monett, MO, passed from this life peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, with family at her side. She lived her life fully devoted to family and to her faith.
Betty was born August 21, 1938, in Pierce City, MO, daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret (Wecker) Frey. Growing up in Pierce City, she graduated with the class of 1956. She later furthered her education after raising her children. She worked for many years as a medical office manager. She was a loving homemaker and mother to her children. Betty also served as a volunteer in local Catholic Schools, dedicating time in the library and cafeteria. Upon moving to Monett, she was a devoted member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Betty is survived by her four daughters, Terry Sirois and husband Robert, of San Antonio, TX, Paula Marion and husband Russell, of Pierce City, MO, Margaret Arnaud and husband Kent, of Monett, MO and Audrey Smith, of Overland Park, KS; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joseph Frey; one sister, Kathleen Spaw; one grandson, Derek Smith; and one infant great-grandson, Landon Marion.
Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Rahab Isidor officiating. Private inurnment will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions have been suggested to St. Agnes Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
