Ronald A. Perkins, AKA Ron, Passed away on Saturday August 19, 2023 at Mckee Medical Center in Loveland, Colorado.
Ron was born in North Platte, Nebraska on Feb 20, 1939 to Ruby and Jay Perkins. He loved music, computers, animals, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. He especially loved to play the organ. Worship music was his favorite pastime. He met Dee Perkins at a music store in Lincoln, Nebraska and they were married on July 16, 1977. They celebrated 46 years of marriage, countless animals/pets, many foster kids, and many moves to plant churches and run worship teams. He worked as a bookkeeper most of his adult life. He also played in a band in his younger years and was known as a prankster.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Jay and Ruby Perkins, his brothers; Darrel, Donald, and Dale Perkins and his sister Dottie Perkins.
Ron is survived by his wife, Dee Perkins of Loveland, Colorado, daughter, Heidi McBroome, son Scotty Perkins, daughter-in-law Amber Perkins. His 5 granddaughters: Sarah Shortt, Jessica McBroome, Rachael McBroome, Gemmarie Perkins, and Kimberely Perkins. His sister Carol Johnson, brother-in-law Larry Johnson. His niece Trisha Johnson and nephews Todd Johnson and Craig Johnson and numerous cousins and other nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been completed. Private family services will be held at a later date.
