Ron Turner, 82, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed from the arms of his family to those of our Father in Heaven on December 18, 2024. Ron lived a life of service to his family, fellow man, and God. Ron was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Morris and Thelda Turner and grew up in Farmington, Utah on the family dairy farm. He graduated from Davis High School in 1959 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Marketing from Utah State University. Later he went on to earn a degree in Sales and Marketing Management from Syracuse University in New York. Over the course of his professional career, he earned the designation of Certified Marketing Executive (CME) and was honored to be Chair Elect for Sales & Marketing Executives International, a 10,000-member organization dedicated to advancing the profession.
Ron served an LDS mission in California and upon his return, married Annette Ririe of California in 1964. They filled their years together with love of family, hard work, and church service while raising five sons. The course of Ron and Annette’s married life took them from the Turner dairy farm in Farmington, Utah, on to Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin where Ron worked for American Breeders Service for 28 years. Ron touched many lives through his church service, where many called him Bishop.
He is preceded in death by his wife Annette Ririe, his son Reed, his daughter-in-law Amy, his parents Morris and Thelda, brother Richard and sister Sandra Simmons. He is survived by his sons Robert (Adriana) of Riverside, California; Ryan of Mapleton, Utah; Rhett (Eliisa) of Chandler, Arizona; Rick (Vanessa) of South Jordan, Utah; daughter-in-law Lisa of Spanish Fork, Utah; 27 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his siblings Merese Jensen (Newell), Steve (Cathy), stepmother Carla Turner.
