Ronnie "RC" Ingram, 98, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at North River Health Campus.
RC was born in Konawa, Oklahoma on August 3, 1925 to the late Ross Caleb and Viola (Pullen) Ingram. He honorably served in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 where his position was Motor Machinist Second Class. RC worked at Kansas City Bridge Company as office manager from 1948 until 1962. He later was the Vice President of Traylor Bros., Inc. where he retired after 33 years of service. RC and his wife, Clara loved to travel. They went on many memorable trips to all 50 states and on many cruises. RC enjoyed gardening, canning, bike riding and taking long walks. He loved to float on a tube on the lake and to always have his cat nearby. RC's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest joy in life. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
RC is survived by his daughters, Lola Jane Farney of Darmstadt, IN and Jeanie Jones of Boonville, IN; son, Ronnie Michael (Phyllis) Ingram of Evansville, IN; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and by many nieces and nephews.
RC was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Clara B. (Allen) Ingram; son-in-law, Vernon Farney; parents; siblings, Katie Lemley, Evelena Street, Pansy O'dell, Beloise Dobbins, Cecil Walls and Charlene Ingram.
A celebration of RC's life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor David Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 am until service time on Tuesday.

The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice, the staff at North River Health Campus, and his private caregiver, Heather, for their compassionate care.
