"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
Rose Marie Cavazos peacefully passed away on May 26, 2024, at her home in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones.
Rose (known as "Rosemary" to her family and friends) was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 14, 1955, to Elisa Velasquez Barboza and Marcelino Barboza. Rosemary was the 10th born of 12 children. Her beloved parents and one brother (David Marcos) preceded her in death.
Rosemary married Antonio Mireles Cavazos - the love of her life - on May 27, 1973. From their union came three loving sons, Tony, Adam, and Joseph. She lovingly supported her husband as a faithful Marine Corps spouse for 24 years.
Affectionately called "Babe" and "Shorty" by her husband, Rosemary served the Lord faithfully as a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church for many years. She was the heartbeat at the center of her family and leaves behind the true spirit of humble kindness to all those that both knew her and were blessed to receive her love.
Those left to cherish her memory: Her husband Antonio Cavazos; sons Tony (Karen), Adam (Wendy), and Joseph; 10 siblings - Pablo, Yolanda, Irene, Roger, Fred (Debbie), Raul (Irma), Oscar, Sylvia (Manuel), Anna (Roy), and Joey (Monica); 9 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Rosemary will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Family will receive guests from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 04, 2024, at Castle Ridge Mortuary West – 8008 Military Dr. W., San Antonio, TX, 78227.

I've closed my eyes and fallen asleep, so there's no reason for you to weep.
This is a debt we all must pay, you will see me again some day.
I've endured pain and even sorrow, now I don't have to worry about tomorrow.
But for you, life must go on, you must not worry because I'm gone.
You stood beside me all the way, when I was down, you knew what to say.
You always told me to get some rest, let me sleep now, I've done my best.
So please let me rest in peace, the tears you're shedding will soon cease.
You'll soon realize that this was meant to be, and now God has come for me.

My beautiful Aunt Rosie, I am going to miss you so much! You were always smiling, and had the biggest heart of gold! Thank you for being my Aunt and always showing me so much love. My mom told you that I love you on her last visits and you said " I love Michelle" I will forever hold those words in heart! I love you Rosie!

The word humble, and beautiful soul best describes my Aunt Rosie.
I will miss everything about her, especially when she had gatherings at her house. She always took care of everyone always making sure everybody ate.
Her words "ya comio Larry ". Aunt Rosie, it's not good-bye, it's an I'll see you later.
