Ruby L. Ragon

Ruby L. Ragon, 93, of Bushnell, Illinois passed away at 5:45 pm on Tuesday April 9, 2024 at her residence. She was born July 6, 1930 in Mt. Sterling, IL to Henry and Eva (Chapman) Agans. She married Claire Ragon in April 1977. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Jon (Liz) Ingles of Camden, IL; and Jeff (Peggy Chenoweth) Mappin of Macomb, IL, grandchildren Eric Ingles, Andrew (Daphne) Ingles, Anthony Ingles, Zachary (Dusti) Ingles, Tasha Mappin, Bryce (Alexandria) Mappin, great-grandchildren Nolan and Jon Ingles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Lloyd and Robert Agans and sister, Marie Hamilton.
As a teenager, Ruby plowed the cornfields with a team of horses. She became a beautician in the 1950's. Ruby taught at Coal Beauty College in Indianapolis, IN for a year. She retired as a beautician after 50 years and then went to work at the VFW for several years. Ruby liked her Crown Royal and loved her two dogs, Puppy and Buffy.
Ruby has gifted her earthly remains to science at the Anatomical Gift Association. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Bushnell Rescue Squad.
