Russell Lorenzo Morgan, Jr., a man deeply cherished by his family and friends, passed away peacefully in the early hours of June 15, 2025. He was the eldest son of the late Russell L. Morgan, Sr. and Lillian M. Morgan. Russell was born in Virginia Beach and spent his formative years in the close-knit communities of Seatack and Creeds. He was a proud graduate of Floyd E. Kellam High School, where he showcased his musical talents in the marching band. After a long and successful career with Dominion Power, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service.
Russell found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including his time spent on the baseball field and the bowling alley, where he made lasting memories. He had a special connection to his favorite singing groups and could often be found cheering on his beloved Commanders, his unwavering support for them a source of both entertainment and conversation. Russell's impact on those around him will be forever treasured.
He leaves behind a loving family to honor his memory, including his devoted son, Donald Bright; his granddaughter, D'Shea Price-Bright; his siblings, Micheal (Beulah), Randy (Terry), Denise (Clyde), and Elaine (Walker); his aunts, Louise White, Christine Mitchell, and Norma Mitchell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
The family will receive guests at Hollomon-Brown, Princess Anne Chapel on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 PM. A service to celebrate Russell's life will be held at the same location on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 11 AM, followed by his burial at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.

My prayers are with the Morgan family. Russell was a fun and loving person and part of the family. To be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. Just remember the good times you all had.
