Shari Lynn Mohring

Shari Lynn (Kormylo) Venturi- Mohring, 64, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 in Kenosha, WI.
Shari was born Feburary 24, 1958, in Lake Forest, IL to Coach Wally & Darlene Kormylo. Shari was a 1976 graduate of Highland Park High School. After high school Shari spent a great amount of time in althletics. Shari ran and completed the Boston Marathon in 1980 & was a former figure skater at Disney World. Shari then became a dedicated competitive body builder at the young age of 23 and continued for 38 years. Shari competed during the 1980's & 1990's while starting and raising a family. Shari returned back to competitive bodybuilding in 2019 where she placed in multiple national and state level competitions
When Shari was not in the gym or preparing for her next competition, she enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, bike riding and her love for German Shepherds.
Shari is survived by her loving husband, John Mohring; daughter, Tara Venturi; sons, Louis (Jaime) Venturi and Charlie Mohring and her faithful companion, Bella. Loving grandmother of Victor, Sophia, Layla, Mia, and Isla. A loving sister to, Kent (Marci) Rodger (Peggy), Debi (Roderick), Sandee (John), and Craig (Mara).
A visitation will begin at 1pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Northern Illinois Funeral Service, 31632 N. Ellis Dr. Unit 209, Volo, IL 60073.
A celebration of life will begin at 1pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Olympus Fitness, 4211 Green Bay Rd., Kenosha, WI.
