Obituary of Sharon Ann Antis
Sharon Ann Antis passed away on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family including her sweet fur baby Zoey.
Sharon was born on May 29th, 1944, the daughter of the late George and Helen (Crankshaw) Tooker. Sharon was married 53 years to the love of her life, the late Larry E. Antis, Sr., on March 10, 1962. Together they enjoyed camping, traveling, riding their Harley and spending the winters in their Florida home until his passing in 2015.
Sharon attended Gloversville Schools and was employed by Taylor Made Systems as well as the Fulton County Infirmary as a Nurse's assistant and home health Aide until her retirement. Sharon took much pride in caring for her elderly patients with much compassion.
Sharon is survived by her beloved children, Debi (Kevin) Pritchard of Harrisburg, PA, Rhonda (Gordy) Almy, Larry (Terri) Antis and Stacey (Jim) Smith, all of Gloversville, NY. Grandchildren, Brett (Brittney) McCue, Sieria (Jhoseph) Macchi, Sergio S. Proietti, Alexis Antis, Jeffrey (Trish) Pritchard and Justin (Amber) Pritchard. Great Grandchildren, Parker and Lucas Macchi, Peyton McCue, Ashton Macchi, Sergio J. Proietti, Lorenzo Macchi and Camila Macchi.
Sharon is also survived by her loyal and sweet yorkie, Zoey, who was by her side to the very end.
Sharon's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was always there to make sure her family had wonderful holidays, Birthdays and family gatherings. She loved her family with her whole heart unconditionally. Sharon will always be remembered for her incredible strength and kindness.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharon was predeceased by two sisters, Rosemary (Tooker) Winchell and Joan (Boyle) Zuckewar, as well as her yorkie Sammy.
It was Sharon's wishes that there be no memorial or funeral services, cremation was held at the Park View Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd. Gloversville, NY 12078, or to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241.
