Sharon D. Brady, age 87, of Stonewall, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Ada.
Born on October 18, 1937, in Oklahoma City, Sharon was the cherished daughter of John Harms Oltermann and Myrtle Elizabeth (Heckman) Oltermann. From a young age, Sharon embodied the values of kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to family and community.
Her life was beautifully transformed when she met R.V. Brady, the love of her life. They were married on June 15, 1954, and shared an extraordinary 71 years of marriage-a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, hard work, and deep affection for those around them.
Sharon served her community as a dedicated school secretary, where her warmth and reliability touched generations of students, teachers, and families. Beyond her professional life, she found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures: farm life, reading, sewing, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Sharon's legacy is one of grace, generosity, and quiet strength. Sharon will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts she nurtured and the memories she helped create.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, John and Myrtle Oltermann, Brothers James Oltermann, Roger Lee Oltermann and Sisters Carol Dawson and Jan Weller. Grandson Ricky Brady and great-grandson Teagan W. Brady.
Sharon is survived by her husband of the home RV Brady, Son Lance Brady and his wife Brenda, Son Dustin Brady and his wife JoEdda, Daughter Susan Thompson, Daughter Sharyl Daniel and husband Tom. Grandchildren: Brooke Sutton, Brettney Scribner and husband Josh, April Sanders and husband Scott, Amber Collins and husband Brett, and Josh Brady and wife Heather. Tyler Thompson and wife Fallon, Neicole Vanhorn and husband Justin, Bracy Blevins, Tobie Jones and husband Matt, Jonathan Daniel, Bradianne Roberson and husband Trey, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral service held to honor her life on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Stonewall First Baptist Church in Stonewall with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery to follow.
