Sharon Sue "Sherry" Wooley, 82, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 surrounded by her family at her home in Mooresville.
She was born to the late Clifton Jewell and Eleanor Maxine (Prather) Cooper at their home in Hazelwood.
Sherry was a graduate of Eminence High School and went on to work at American Fletcher National Bank for 17 years then as secretary for Chuck Amy at Handy Hardware. Sherry loved traveling with her husband John and visiting casinos. She was a meticulous caretaker of her yard and property at her home in Plano. For over 30 years, she poured her heart and soul into that house to make it a home for her family. She was a devoted family woman who adored her grandsons and great grandkids as well as her monthly coffee date with her brothers and sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Hall of Mooresville; brothers, Chester L. Cooper, Larry Cooper, Richard Cooper, Dean Cooper; sister, Janice Heskett; grandchildren, Kyle Hall (Janay Jones) and Cade Hall (Sloane Wright); great grandchildren, Jett Hall and Jia Hall.
Sherry is preceded in death by her husband, John Pittman Wooley who passed away December 26, 2024.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Cooper officiating.
Sherry will be laid to rest at Mannan Cemetery in Lewisville, Indiana.
