Sherry L. Murry, 69, of Fremont passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Countryside Manor. Sherry was born on November 25, 1955 to Donald Martin Murry and Patricia Mae (Johnson) Gillow. She was a 1974 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. She worked for Heinz for several years. Sherry then received her associate degree from Stautzenberger College in Medical Assisting where she went on to work in the healthcare field.
Throughout her life, Sherry had a deep love for music. She played the piano, directed a church choir and taught kindermusic. Music made her happy. She moved onto operating businesses from her home which she enjoyed very much.
Sherry is survived by her significant other of thirty-one years, Jose Alejandro, Fremont, OH; sister Vickie Bigler; nieces and nephews, Nichole (Albert) Ross, Donald Bigler, all of Clyde, OH and Amanda Bigler, Canton, OH; and several great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and stepdad Elmer Gillow.
Visitation will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home, 425 E. State St. Fremont, OH 43420.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memory Garden, Clyde, OH.
Memorials can be made in her honor to Heartland Hospice.
