Stephanie LeMarr Grubb (Steph), of Winchester, VA, died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, June 13, 2024. Stephanie was born September 16, 1984, in Winchester, VA. She was 39 years old.
Stephanie was the daughter of Larry A. LeMarr and Susan C. LeMarr. She is survived by her parents, son, Cooper David Grubb, daughter, Layla Kathleen Grubb, brother, Geoffrey LeMarr and his wife, Jennifer and children, Preston and Julia LeMarr. Stephanie is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and Justin Grubb (Kira).
Stephanie is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Delbert and Kathleen Cain, and paternal grandparents, Earl J. LeMarr and Eva D. Baker, of Winchester, VA.
Stephanie graduated from James Wood High School in 2002. She continued her education at James Madison University receiving her bachelor's degree in social work in 2006.
Stephanie was an adventurous person. She decided to travel to Montana in 2007. During that time, she received a certificate from Hummer Driving Academy. She later worked for Marlboro Ranch as a tour guide.
Upon returning home, she secured a position at Valley Health as a Behavioral Health Specialist.
Stephanie loved her time with her children (they were her life). Their hobbies included fishing, hunting, hiking, and traveling. Stephanie was most comfortable exploring all water activities including boating, kayaking and enjoying time at the pool with family and friends.
Stephanie valiantly fought cancer for 8 years. Her fight and Faith in God helped her through all challenges.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Community Support and to Valley Health Palliative Care Team for their caring and love of their daughter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stephanie to the American Cancer Society or a trust fund for Stephanie's children being set up by her family. To donate please email Larry, at [email protected] for details.
Plans are being arranged for a Celebration of Life in the near future.
