Stevan Yair Melendez, a vibrant soul known for his adventurous spirit and creative heart, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, in Kyle, Texas. Born on December 1, 2004, in Austin, Texas, to Ruben Melendez and the late Teodora Valverde, Stevan's infectious enthusiasm and analytical mind left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

From his early days at Lehman High School, Stevan's artistic talents shone brightly. His passion for drawing and music provided a window into his imaginative mind, while his love of video games offered a glimpse into his strategic thinking. Stevan's interest in tattoos blossomed into a dream of becoming a tattoo artist, inspired by countless evenings spent watching his favorite show, Ink Masters, with dad.

Stevan was a cherished member of a close-knit family, which includes his devoted father, Ruben, his loving brothers, Andree, whom he was closest to, Gael, and his sisters, Ana Sofia and Itzel Melendez. He was a treasured grandson to Ruben Melendez Sr., Teresa Melendez, Aracely Ayala, and Guillermo Ramirez. His aunts and uncles, Mayra Dorlouis, Miguel Melendez, Lorena Valverde, Nereida Valverde, Carlos Valverde, Roberto Ramirez, and Angel Ramirez, along with numerous cousins, will fondly remember Stevan's warmth and the joy he brought to family gatherings.

Working alongside his father, grandfather, and brothers in the family business, Stevan's work ethic and collaborative nature were evident. He took pride in contributing to the family legacy and was always eager to learn from the generations before him.

An ardent swimmer, Stevan found solace and freedom in the water. His adventurous side came alive during these moments, as well as when he was exploring the world with his brothers and cousins. Their shared experiences created an unbreakable bond and a treasure trove of memories that will be cherished forever.

Described by those who knew him as adventurous, creative, and analytical, Stevan's legacy is one of inspiration and love. His ability to see the beauty in the world around him, to imagine possibilities where others saw none, and to analyze life's puzzles with keen insight will be deeply missed by all.

As we bid farewell to Stevan Yair Melendez, we celebrate a life lived with struggles; and determination to work toward a peaceful existence, a spirit that was uncontainable, and a kindness that knew no bounds. His story does not end here; it continues in the hearts of those he touched, and the memories that will live on as a testament to the remarkable person he was.
