Steven Scott McKenna loved to make people laugh. To know Steven was to love him and he was mighty with a big heart, was ambitious, and he always gave the best hugs.
Steven was born in Stroudsburg on November 22, 2001. As a young man who was loved by many, he passed away on February 25, 2024. His memory will be celebrated and cherished by his significant other, Taylor Rios; his mother, Kathleen Fe Mastandrea and her husband John Mastandrea; his father, John Scott McKenna; his sister, Andrea Giaimis and her husband, Nick Caravella; and his brother, Shawn McKenna.
Steven was a beloved member of the community and was known for his kindness and dedication. He was actively involved in the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church where he contributed his time to various church activities. His commitment to faith and service extended to his involvement in the Pocono Community Church youth group where he found joy in serving others and built lasting friendships.
A Pocono Mountain West graduate, Steven was a talented athlete who excelled in both football and wrestling. His dedication and hard work on the field and mat were evident to all who knew him. Off the sports arena, Steven pursued his passion as an accomplished barber, where he displayed his creativity and skill in his craft. He was the jack of all trades when it came to using his hands. As a barber at Kariz Cuts in Tannersville, Steven not only mastered his craft but also became a trusted confidant and friend to his clients. His warm personality and genuine care for others made every visit to the barbershop a memorable experience.
Steven's love knew no bounds and extended to his family, friends, and community. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty. He leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, perseverance and determination that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Steven's life will be celebrated on Sunday, March 17th, at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 N 5th Street, Stroudsburg, where there will be a visitation from 2:00pm - 3:00pm, Celebration of Life service from 3:00 - 3:45pm, and food and fellowship to follow.
