Thomas Neil LeFebvre (Neil) passed away in Palm Harbor, Florida on June 29, 2022. He was 93.
Neil was born on June 30, 1928 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He grew up in and around St. Paul and
Minneapolis with his parents Sarah Blanche Verboncoeur and Wilbert Jerome LeFebvre and his
three brothers; Norman, Gordon, and Daniel LeFebvre.
As a young man, Neil enlisted in the Army and later served in the Military Police in Osaka,
Japan. He then attended the University of Minnesota under the GI Bill and joined ROTC. He
graduated in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Speech Major and Military Science
Minor. He was Commissioned as Second Lieutenant, inactive status, and was soon ordered to
active duty as an officer serving in the European theater during the Korean War.
On March 30, 1951, Neil married his college sweetheart Margaret Marie Hagen (Peg) in
Minnesota. Together they raised three sons in Mount Prospect, Illinois. While raising his family,
Neil worked at A. C. Nielsen company. With Nielsen, he transferred to Palm Harbor, Florida in
1973. While continuing to work, he found time to enjoy the Florida sunshine by boating, playing
tennis, and grilling for family barbecues. In 1987, Neil retired from A. C. Nielsen after 30 years
with the company. He and Peg spent years traveling around the country and the world visiting
friends and family and seeing new sights.
He is survived by his wife Margaret M. LeFebvre; three sons Martin LeFebvre and wife Linda
LeFebvre of Palm Harbor, FL, Terrence LeFebvre of Littleton, CO, and William LeFebvre and wife
