Thomas Melville Napper, age 77, of Vassar passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Covenant Hospital with his family by his side. He was born October 10, 1947 in Warren, MI to Melville and Kathryn (Smart) Napper. Tom was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School with the Class of 1965. He married Debra Parsons on October 14, 1998 in Ohio. Tom serviced in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked for Chrysler Corporation in the shipping and receiving department. Tom loved his dogs. He enjoyed fishing, messing around in his garage and spending time with his grandchildren. Tom found it relaxing to sit out on his porch and would watch the farmers in the field on the tractor. Tom is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Steven (Jennifer) Napper, Brian (Geraldine) Napper, Christina (Mark) Pritchett, Justin Napper and Ariel Napper (Brad Binder); sisters, Joann and Toni; Brother, Jim; 13 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melville and Kathryn Napper; and sisters, Donna and Kay. Burial will take place in Holly National Cemetery, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 10 AM. Memorial may be made to Tuscola County Vereran Affairs, 1309 Cleaver Rd. Caro MI 48723. Friends may share an online condolence at www.avramfuneralhome.com.
