Thomas was born on October 25th, 1980 and passed away on
March 23rd, 2025 at the age of 44Thomas Rick Wash has left us unexpectedly at the age 44 on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in West Valley, Utah. He was born on October 25, 1980, in Tooele, Utah, to Rick and Patricia Wash.
He lived in Tooele, Utah, later moved to Stockton, Utah, then to the Shivwits reservation in Ivins, Utah. He attended Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, California, Snow Canyon Middle and High School, and Dixie State College.
In his younger years Thomas loved to play basketball in school and played in all Indian basketball tournaments and danced at pow-wows. He was a Colts Fan, loved to listen to music, and his favorite color was blue. He always had to look and smell fresh when he went out. The last two years he has had three best friends, Koa (Koa Whoa's); Business (Bitness); and Bear, also known as Steve. Some of his favorite sayings were Nah dawg nah dawg; Not so sorry 'bout it; So so what 'bout it; hells yeah; I'm perfectly fine; and Love ya.
Thomas is survived by his children Jada Wash, Patricia Wash, Torrance Wall, Madison Wash, Mason Wash, and Imani Wacondo; grandson Christopher Snow; niece Shanesse Moon and her son Sonny moon; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rick Marvin Wash and Patricia Jane Grayman Wash; grandparents Tom and Margie Wash and Charley Grayman and Esther Bushhead; sisters Kris Jake and Robyn Jake Moon (Will Moon); nephews Wade Moon, Sidney Jake, Angel Alverez; and niece Lyric Moon.
A wake will be held on Friday evening at 7pm April 4, 2025, at the Skull Valley Community Center in Skull Valley, Utah. Memorial service will be on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10am, at the same location. Potluck luncheon and burial to follow services. The family asks that a food dish be brought for the luncheon.
