Timothy Lee Jernigan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Lee Jernigan, who was called home on August 23, 2024, at the age of 61. Timothy was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

 Timothy had a playful spirit and loved being the center of attention, especially when it meant bringing laughter to others. He had a way of making people smile with his quick quips and light-hearted antics, always aiming to brighten the day of those around him.

 Beyond his humor, Timothy was a family man who genuinely enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. Whether it was a casual family gathering or a special occasion, he found happiness in his family’s company.

 Timothy is survived by his loving mother, Lorraine Jernigan; his brother, John Jernigan; his wife, Debbie Jernigan; his sister, Chasity Johnson; and her husband, Kelvin Johnson. He leaves behind his children, Brandon Christian and Amber Jernigan; James Jernigan and his wife Kristin Jernigan; and Derek Blackman and his wife Kristin Blackman. Timothy was also the proud grandfather of three grandchildren: Devon Jernigan, Liam Sykes, and Cayden Jernigan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Jernigan, and his brothers, Ricky Jernigan, Henry Jernigan, and Leroy Jernigan.

 Timothy will be remembered for the laughter he brought into the world, the love he shared with his family and the countless memories that will continue to bring joy to those who knew him. His legacy of humor and love will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

 A service to honor and celebrate Timothy's life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at New Life Fellowship located at 2777 NC 210 Smithfield, NC 27577. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Rose and Graham Funeral Home at 301 W. Main Street, Benson, NC 27504. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their memories.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Fellowship, 2777 NC 210 Smithfield, NC 27577.
