Timothy Marks

Timothy Anthony Marks, 82, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully of natural causes on December 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 20, 1943, in Dorchester to the late Julio and Catherine Marks, Timothy lived a full and vibrant life grounded in family, service, and laughter.

A proud alumnus of Boston Latin School, Timothy went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed aboard a destroyer escort. His naval service instilled in him discipline, perseverance, and a lifelong appreciation for camaraderie and the sea.

Timothy was the devoted husband of Valerie Jean Ardner, the love of his life. He often affectionately referred to her as "Valerie Jean my beauty queen, the prettiest girl I have ever seen." Together, they built a life filled with love, humor, and deep dedication to their family. He was the proud father of three sons-Michael, Clint, and Greg-whom he adored, and he took great joy in his three grandchildren, Matthew, Kristina, and Cody.

Known for his drive and persuasive nature, Timothy also had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in telling jokes that brought smiles to everyone around him. His hobbies reflected his zest for life: tending to his garden and tomato plants, caring for his horses, spending time on boats, and enjoying long drives in search of great seafood. A loyal sports fan, he cheered passionately for football and baseball games, never missing a chance to talk stats or predict outcomes.

Timothy is survived by his brothers, Edmund and John Marks, his sons, and his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 12pm -2pm at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA, on Sunday, December 28, 2025, followed by a service in the funeral home at 2pm. His warm spirit and favorite saying will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him: "Thank you for my three sons and wonderful grandchildren!"
