Tina Ann Mendelson

Tina Ann Mendelson, a beacon of laughter and faith, passed away on February 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on September 12, 1963, in Yonkers, New York, Tina's vibrant spirit and infectious humor brought joy to all who knew her. She departed this world in the warmth of Fort Pierce, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Tina's life was one of spirited dedication to her loved ones and her community. She was a cherished employee at The Home Depot in St. Lucie West for two decades, where her colleagues became a second family. Her commitment to her church reflected her deep faith, and her love for animals, especially her beloved cat Precious, was profound. Tina found solace in the melodies of music, the nostalgia of old movies and shows, and, above all, the company of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Kevin Murphy, and her parents, AnnMarie and Harold Mendelson. Tina's legacy of love and laughter lives on through her son, Leonard Bentivenga; her brothers, Mark Mendelson (Shilpa) and Todd Mendelson; and a host of loving family members who will miss her dearly.
Tina's life reminds us of the words of Emily Dickinson: "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality." Her funny, faith-filled, and spirited nature will forever be etched in the hearts of those she touched. Tina Ann Mendelson's memory will be treasured as a guiding light of love and resilience.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held, Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 2PM until 5PM at Yates Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7951 South Federal Highway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34950.
