Mrs. Tina Swan, departed this life on July 19, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
She was born January 21, 1933 to the late Elder Thomas, Sr. and Mrs. Edith Ann Siplin. She was educated in the Florida and New Jersey School Systems and became a servant of God at a very early age.
In 1978, Tina received a Certificate award from Mercer County Technical Center Trenton, New Jersey and received vocational training at the James Kearney Mercer County Community College Campus Trenton, New Jersey following a long, courageous recovery from a head injury suffered in a car accident.
In August 1988, the Rev. Angelique Walker-Smith, T.E.A.M.'s Executive Director had requested a clerical student from the James Kearney Campus and Mrs. Swan responded.
During her 29 plus years as T.E.A.M. Administrator she successful initiated three (3) programs such as: The Black History Luncheon, "Feed the Hungry" (Thanksgiving Food Drive), and the "Family Coat Drive" currently serves as a CROP Walk Coordinator.
In 2005, Tina was admitted into the Manchester's Who's Who of Executives and Professionals; in 2010 she was recognized as a "Shining Light" by Interfaith Caregivers of Trenton, The TEAM Board gave Tina an Appreciation Luncheon in August 2012, authorities under Bishop Joseph P. Ravenell, Senior Board Member.
She was a former member of CBS-OLDS for 36 plus years and a faithful member of Samaritan Baptist Church in Trenton, New Jersey. Tina worked on a daily basis to fulfill her personal philosophy, "with the help of God, if I can help someone along the way, then my living will not be in vain."
Predeceased by her husband, Roosevelt Swan, Sr.; two sons, Calvin Roosevelt Jr. and Mark Christopher; daughter, Yvonne Renee Benjamin, her parents, Elder Thomas, Sr. and Edith Ann Siplin, five brothers, James, Sr., Jonnie Paul, Tommy L., Willie and Theodore Siplin, four sisters, Catherine Key, Caroline Duncan, Mary Virginia Taylor and Dora Thomas and grandson, Marcus J. Gibson.
Tina is survived by one son, David P. Swan, Sr.; daughter, Carolyn L. Davis of Lawrenceville, NJ; five grand-children, Eric J. Davis (Janean) of Africa; Andre L Davis (Samantha) of NJ; Kenneth I. Davis (Tammie) of Willingboro, NJ; Shannon T. Swan of NC; and David P. Swan, Jr. of Trenton, NJ; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grand-son; extended family, son, Scott, daughter, Marita, sons, Joe and Dylan and host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
