Pastor Tony Collins

MUNCIE – Pastor Tony Collins entered the arms of Jesus on Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2025, with his loving wife, Amanda, by his side.
He was born on July 24, 1960, in Muncie, the son of Vonda June Collins and graduated from Wes-Del High School. Pastor Tony was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Amanda (Mills) Collins, with whom he shared sixteen years of love, partnership, and faith. Their bond was a testament to the power of love and prayer, and Amanda remained by his side through all of life's joys and challenges.
While Tony was a lifelong musician, his true passion and calling came when he started his journey into ministry. Pastor Tony faithfully led the congregation of The Garden at Gethsemane for fifteen years and was the current Lead Pastor at The Garden at Main Street, impacting countless lives with love, compassion, and unwavering faith. Pastor Tony was a voice for the voiceless, embodying Christ's love for the least of us. He understood that true ministry is not just about preaching in the church but about meeting people where they are-physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
In addition to his faithful wife, Amanda, Muncie; his daughter, Maacah (Paul) Lambert, New Albany; his daughter, Erin (Allen) Standafar, Paoli; seven grandchildren: Katen Lambert, Xander Lambert, Bailey Tyler, Halo Standafar, Sierra Standafar, Sienna Standafar and Ruger Standafar. Also left to remember and cherish his memory are Sandy (Brad) Faust, sister-in-law; Candy (Brian) Dodd, sister-in-law and Greg (Amanda) Mills, brother-in-law; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family members; as well as a vast spiritual family and countless individuals whose lives were touched by his kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to justice and compassion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vonda Collins, and niece, Kirstin Baldwin.
His legacy of love, faith, and service to others will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at The Garden at Gethsemane, 1201 W. McGalliard Road, Muncie, with Reverend Kate Muhlbaier, Pastor Steven Hampton and Reverend Vickie Perkins officiating. Cremation will take place.
Family and friends may call at The Garden at Gethsemane, 1201 W. McGalliard Road, Muncie, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Garden at Main Street, 1201 W McGalliard Road, Muncie, IN 47303. (*The family also requests no lilies please due to allergies).
