With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Troy Paulk, who left us on April 21, 2025, at the age of 41. Troy was born on September 29, 1983, in Bakersfield, California, and was the oldest of four siblings. He graduated from Centennial High School in 2001, where he made lasting friendships that he treasured throughout his life.
Troy married Elizabeth Paulk in 2012, and together they had two beloved sons, Jacoby (born in 2012) and Asher (born in 2018). He was a devoted father who found joy in every moment spent with his boys. Whether kayaking, fishing, hiking, or camping, Troy's love for the outdoors was matched only by his deep affection for his family.
Troy had a remarkable talent for building things, and his skill and craftsmanship were evident in all that he created. He was known for his generosity, kindness, and ability to make others laugh. Above all, Troy was a loving son, brother, and friend, always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
Troy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joan, Roger, and Oma Jane, his uncles Danny and Don, and his younger sister, Laura. He is survived by his two sons, Jacoby and Asher; his parents, Carol and Ron; his younger brother, Rusty; his younger sister, Ronee, Grandpa Gordon ; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
We are deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support from family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. A special thank you to Peters Funeral Home for their compassion and care.
Troy will forever be remembered for his devotion to his family and for making people laugh. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
